The Quick version

We ask for your name and mobile number so that we can tell you, once, when this opens. Everything else on the form is optional. We do not share any of it with anyone, we do not sell it, and we will not ring you to sell you something.

What we hold

If you fill in the form, we store:

What we will never ask you for

An OTP. A password. A PAN or Aadhaar number. A bank or card detail. A payment of any kind. Your date of birth. A "verification" of anything.

If you are ever asked for one of those in our name, by message, by call, or by a page that looks like this one, it is not us. Please tell us on the email on the front page, and we will warn everyone else.

What this website does not do

It sets no cookies. It runs no analytics and no advertising trackers. It loads nothing from any other company, so no one else learns that you visited. The films are played from this site, not from a social network.

It does keep three small notes inside your own browser: which of the questions you have already answered yes or no to, so that it does not keep asking you the same one; whether you turned the sound on, so that you do not have to turn it on again for every film; and a random tag that means nothing anywhere else.

The first two never leave your device. The tag is sent to us with an answer, and only with an answer, so that if you change your mind about a question your new answer replaces the old one instead of being added to it. It is a string of random characters: it holds no name, no number, and nothing taken from your device. Clearing your browsing data removes all three.

If you answer one of the questions

Under each of the questions there are two buttons and a running count. If you press one, we store the answer, the question it was about, the time, the random tag your browser made, and the same scrambled form of your internet address described above. Nothing else — no name, no number, and nothing that ties the answer to you if you also filled in the form.

One answer per question, per browser. Press the other button later and your first answer is replaced: the counts move across rather than both going up.

The counts are there so that you can see whether anybody else recognises the same problem. Read them as a mood rather than as a survey: somebody using a second device, or clearing their browser first, can answer the same question again.

If you suggest a reason

Some of the cards invite you to suggest something the platform should do. If you send one, we store what you wrote, your name, your mobile number, which card you were looking at, the time, and the same scrambled form of your internet address described above.

We ask for the number because the useful part is usually the second conversation, not the first — but nothing is sent to it before the platform opens, and if we never come back to you, nothing is sent to it at all. Ask us and we will delete the whole suggestion.

If you share something from here

Sharing happens entirely on your device. The buttons either hand the link to your phone's own share menu, or open WhatsApp or Facebook with the message already written. We are not told that you shared, or with whom.

The preview picture that appears in the chat is generated by us from the question itself, and contains nothing about you.

How long we keep it

Until the platform opens, and for twelve months after that, so we can tell you about it more than once if you have not joined yet. After that we delete the list.

You can ask us to remove you at any moment, including before then. Write or call using the details on the front page, tell us the number you signed up with, and it is done.

Who you are giving it to

People from within the Jain community, building something for it. We are not naming the organisation until the day we reveal what this is, and we understand that is an unusual thing to read on a privacy page.

So here is the undertaking that goes with it: if you want to know who holds your details before that day, ask us, at the email address on the front page, and we will tell you in writing. You do not have to wait for the reveal to find out, and you do not have to give a reason for asking.

Your say over it

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Same email address, and we will do it without argument.

If this page changes

The date at the top changes with it. If we ever begin collecting something new, we will say so here before we collect it, not afterwards.
